GI#25 Revised 5/25/2018
The Jackson St. rain garden, located in the
Waterfront South neighborhood, was
installed to beautify the site and to intercept,
treat, and infiltrate stormwater runoff. This
rain garden helps to mitigate nuisance flooding in the area and reduces nonpoint source pollution
and stormwater that would otherwise discharge into the City of Camden’s combined sewer
system. This project site captures 258,000 gallons of stormwater per year. Jackson St. rain
garden was completed in June 2014 with a rubble border being added in April 2017.
