GI#31 Revised 5/25/2018
At this site, located within the Marlton neighborhood, 36
square feet of downspout planter boxes have been
installed to intercept, treat, and filter the stormwater runoff
from the adjacent building's rooftop. The downspout
planters help to mitigate nuisance flooding in the area and
reduces nonpoint source pollution and stormwater that
would otherwise discharge into the City of Camden's
combined sewer system. The plants selected for the
planter box include Black-eyed Susan and Purple
Coneflower. Overflow from the planters discharges to the sewer system. These downspout
planters capture 29,687 gallons of stormwater per year. This project was completed in September
2015.
