GI#35 Revised 5/25/2018
At this site, located in the Dudley neighborhood, two
downspouts have been routed to a 674 square foot rain
garden. The rain garden intercepts, treats, and filters
the stormwater runoff from a portion of the amphitheater
structure's roof. Overflow from the rain garden
discharges to lawn areas and flows to an existing lawn
inlet connected to the sewer system. The rain gardens
and trees installed at this site both help to mitigate nuisance flooding in the area and reduces
nonpoint source pollution and stormwater that would otherwise discharge into the City of
Camden's combined sewer system. This site captures 27,488 gallons of stormwater per year.
This project was completed in September 2015 with a rubble border being added to the perimeter
of the rain garden in August 2017.
