GI#38 Revised 5/25/2018
At this site, located in the Dudley neighborhood, five
downspouts have been disconnected and routed to a 1,700
square foot rain garden. The rain garden intercepts, treats,
and filters the stormwater runoff from a portion of the Catto
School's roof. Overflow from the rain garden discharges to
an existing lawn inlet connected to the sewer system. Trees have also been planted to promote
groundwater recharge. These installations also help to mitigate nuisance flooding in the area and
reduces nonpoint source pollution and stormwater that would otherwise discharge into the City of
Camden's combined sewer system. This site captures 207,031 gallons of stormwater per year.
This project was completed in September 2015.
