GI#48 Revised 5/25/2018
At this site, located in the Lanning Square
neighborhood, approximately 730 square feet of the
sidewalk has been removed and replaced with three
stormwater planters that intercept, treat, and filter
stormwater from the adjacent roads. The planters
were planted with low-lying grasses and slender trees
to avoid interference with traffic conditions. Overflow
from the stormwater planters discharge to the curb
and gutter. These installations help to mitigate
nuisance flooding in the area and reduces nonpoint
source pollution and stormwater that would otherwise
discharge into the City of Camden's combined sewer
system. This site captures 192,800 gallons of stormwater per year. This project was completed in
May 2017.
