GI#52 Revised 5/25/2018
At this site, located in the North Camden neighborhood, portions
of the deteriorating asphalt area have been removed and
replaced with a permeable surface to promote groundwater
recharge. A portion of the recess area has been re-paved with
approximately 7,425 square feet of porous asphalt. Overflow
from the porous asphalt discharges to the sewer system. These
installations help to mitigate nuisance flooding in the area and
reduces nonpoint source pollution and stormwater that would
otherwise discharge into the City of Camden's combined sewer system. This site captures
495,200 gallons of stormwater per year. This project was completed in May 2017.
