GI#54 Revised 5/25/2018
At this site, located in the Centerville neighborhood,
the deteriorated basketball court and surrounding
walkway has been removed and replaced with
approximately 9,615 square feet of porous asphalt
that promotes groundwater recharge. Overflow from
the porous asphalt discharges to adjacent lawn
areas. This installation help to mitigate nuisance
flooding in the area and reduces nonpoint source
pollution and stormwater that would otherwise
discharge into the City of Camden's combined sewer system. This site captures 294,400 gallons
of stormwater per year. This project was completed in May 2017.
